چکیده
Abstract Growing cowpea ( Vigna unguiculate (L) Walp) in rotation with millet Pennisetum glaucum (L.) R. Br.) can increase productivity through biological nitrogen fixation. However, Senegal, legume crop residues are generally removed for livestock feed, and little information exists on how burying the residue instead of removal affects subsequent yield. This study assessed varieties evaluated prior management effect grain biomass yield Br) rotation. Experiments were conducted National Center Agronomic Research (CNRA) Bambey Senegal from 2020 to 2022. Treatments include 20 varieties, two fertilizer rates, practices (residue vs. burying) a split‐split plot arrangement. Results showed that variety had significant fodder yields cowpea. Cowpea nutrient concentrations differed by variety, superior 66‐35F, concentration this 2.8‐0.45‐0.82% N‐P‐K. Applying previous increased 63% compared following non‐fertilized plots. Furthermore, incorporation planting 40% but no 2021. In general, amount buried positive relationship Across years, 0.16 kg ha −1 each kilogram per hectare planting. minimum 1500 was required probability above 1000 . We concluded year's burial improved rotational crop.

ABSTRACT- Declining land productivity associated with decreasing soil organic carbon and nutrients is a significant issue in monoculture production. The field experiment with different rates of fertilizer systems (60 kg ha-1 N + 100 kg ha-1 P, 300 kg ha-1 Bio-organic (organic fertilizer), 3 kg ha-1 Bioumik (biofertilizer), 30 kg ha-1 N + 50 kg ha-1 P + 150 kg ha-1 Bio-organic fertilizer and 30...
